Framed by the church’s 2026 theme “On the Way,” this sermon explores how the Holy Spirit meets us in transitions, seasons of discouragement, and moments when we feel like dropping our “shovels” and quitting. Drawing from Acts 18:1–11, it outlines three distinct ways the Spirit operates: meeting us in community through supportive partnerships like Priscilla and Aquila; meeting us in suffering by redirecting our closed doors “across the street” to reveal new opportunities for His glory; and meeting us in our calling by giving us the reassurance to stay faithful and speak out because He is already at work ahead of us. Ultimately, the message serves as a powerful reminder that when we are tired, overwhelmed, and facing cultural brokenness, the Holy Spirit provides the presence and power we need to keep pushing forward, making it always too soon to quit.
