The Cornerstone Pantry is motivated by our faith in Christ to serve our community by providing non-perishable food to families in need.
We make space to listen to their stories and customize their care/provisions as a practical means of offering love and hope.
Need Food Assistance?
If you are experiencing food uncertainty due to COVID-19 and are a resident of Markham-Stoufville, please complete our Food Support Application Form and a member of the Food Pantry team will be in touch with you. We know it can be hard to ask for help sometimes. We're all in this together so let us help you access the food that you and your family need at this time.
How To Access Our Food Bank
If you are a resident of Markham or Stouffville area, and if you are in need of food, you are welcome to access food support from Cornerstone Pantry.
Accessing our food bank is currently by appointment only.
If you are a new client interested in accessing our services, you can:
When you pick up the food box for the first time, you will be asked to provide one of the following documents to support the primary income of each adult in your household:
- Most recent income tax Notice of Assessment
- 3 most recent pay stubs
- Ontario Works (OW)
- Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
- Old Age Security (OAS) and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)
We try to pack a variety of food in each box and do our best to accommodate any food preferences while keeping in mind the number of people in each household.
You can access the food bank once per month. Please contact us to schedule an appointment to pick up your food box.
