At first, Habakkuk cries out in frustration over injustice and questions God’s ways. He does not receive the answers he expects, but instead learns a deeper truth: “the righteous will live by faith.” Habakkuk’s Prayer of Faith in chapter 3 (vv. 17–19) becomes the turning point. Even when crops fail, resources vanish, and hope seems lost, he chooses to rejoice in the Lord. His words remind us that real faith does not deny hardship—it clings to God through it.
