Unity isn’t being like-minded around our preferences. Unity is being like-minded around the person of Jesus and his command to love one another.
But we can only do that when we have humility. Humility is:
- placing the needs of others above our own.
- sacrificing for others instead of living for ourselves.
- setting aside our personal preferences for the sake of God’s mission.
In a world that’s so polarized, what would happen if Christians demonstrated what true biblical unity looks like? What would happen if Christians didn’t hold on to their personal preferences but set them aside so they could place the needs of others above their own?
