GUIDED INSTRUCTIONAL SESSION

Introduction to Calligraphy – Copperplate Calligraphy for Beginners #1
Our first session is all about getting comfortable with the tools. We’ll focus on:

  • Getting started with dip pens and controlling ink flow.
  • Mastering the “pressure and release” rhythm of the nib.
  • Beginning to form fundamental letter shapes.
  • Completing the lowercase alphabet

GUIDED INSTRUCTIONAL SESSION

Introduction to Calligraphy – Copperplate Calligraphy for Beginners #2
Building on what we learned in May, we’ll move into the elegance of full words. We’ll focus on:

  • Completing the lowercase alphabet.
  • The art of connecting letters into fluid cursive.
  • An introduction to uppercase letters. All supplies provided.

Note: Please arrive on time, as each session has a firm start and end. Join the waitlist if your preferred session is full or you can’t commit to a regular schedule, and we’ll contact you if a spot becomes available.

More Info

  • Only pre-registered participants can play.
  • No refunds or swapping players for missed sessions.
  • Indoor gymnasium shoes are required.
  • Protective sports eyewear is highly recommended.
  • 4 indoor courts with doubles play.
  • Bring your own paddle. Beginner paddles and indoor balls are provided.

Open Play: Join this session for casual, doubles games with novice to intermediate players. New to pickleball? You’re welcome to join, we’ll pair you with a leader or experienced player who can walk you through the rules and help you get started.

Drills and Play: Build confidence and strengthen your foundational pickleball skills through instruction-led drills and guided game play. This session is ideal if you have played for a while, already understand the rules, can rally at a medium level, and want to improve your consistency. If you are new to pickleball, we recommend starting with the Open Play session.

  • Dedicated skill-focused drills (e.g. forehand and backhand rallies, purposeful dinking, volley placement, serve returns, third-shot drops, game strategies)
  • Supervised game play with individual coaching tips
  • Capacity: Maximum 16 players
