CAMP IS BACK! Cornerstone Camps is looking for fun, creative, and responsible young leaders to join our camp staff and volunteer team for summer 2025, running from July 2 to August 8. CAMP JOBS OFFERED
CAMP COUNSELOR
Contract Dates: June 30 – August 8, 2025
Hourly Rates: $17.20 – $17.75
In working with their co-counsellor, the camp counselors primary role will be to lead campers through daily camp activities while ensuring camper safety, inclusion, and needs are cared for. They will work in a team to create a fun and healthy environment for campers to grow in and appropriately communicate with parents regarding campers day-day activities.
- Execute the day-to-day activities of the assigned camp program for grades ranging SK – Gr. 6 and/or grades 7 – 10
- Interact with campers and encourage them to participate in activities developed for hands-on learning and character development
- Ensuring the program is accessible to all campers by implementing modifications and pre-planned individualized programming where necessary
- Collaborate with team members to lead games and activities related to the camp theme
- Ensuring the safety of campers by following ratio and checking if needs are met
- Assist in the smooth pick-up and drop-off of campers
- Communicating with the Camp Director or Coordinator when problems arise and actively work together to problem solve throughout the day or during team meetings
- Communicate with parents by providing appropriate and professional feedback on their child’s day-day activities
- Modelling appropriate behaviour and creating positive interactions in all daily routines and program delivery
- When assigned, supervise children in before or after care program
SUPPORT STAFF
Contract Dates: June 30 – August 8, 2025
Hourly Rates: $17.20 – $17.75
The camper support team will work to support campers with disabilities or complex behaviours who need 1-1 support. Their primary duties will be to implement the individualized or modified programming for campers and ensure their needs are met. As well as, assist in camper inclusion and camper behaviour management for groups who need additional support.
- Provide 1-1 support for campers with disabilities or complex needs
- Advocate and communicate with Camp Director for camper needs and additional supports
- Implement inclusive programming that can be individualized and modified for children with disabilities
- Support camp groups in camper inclusion and behaviour management
- Collaborate with team members to lead games and activities related to the camp theme

KIDS CAMP COORDINATOR

Hourly Rates: $19.50
*Start date and June hours are flexible for the right applicant. Must be available to work full time hours from June 30 – August 8.
The Camp Program Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Camp Director to develop and execute programming for weekly camp themes. They will communicate program plans to camp counsellors and provide mentorship, training, and support. In addition, they will ensure organization of camp supplies, over-see end of day tidy and aftercare, and problem solve issues as they arise.
- Lead and execute a children’s Camp for 250+ kids ages SK – Gr. 6
- Plan and develop ideas for activities that align with the camp theme
- Develop inclusive programming and supports for campers with varied abilities
- Create supplies list, gather resources, and prep for weekly activities accordingly
- Assist in helping with camper behaviour management when necessary by providing additional support to staff on the floor
- Facilitate camp activities
- Lead Camp Counselor team by developing training materials, providing supplies, and facilitating check-ins
- Supervise staff and volunteer teams, as well as relieving staff for breaks
- Maintain high levels of staff/volunteer morale and provide mentorship and support for camp team
- Role model camp culture and staff expectations
- Act as a direct liaison with parents, campers, and camp counsellors to ensure program success
- Ensure day-to-day safety of the Children’s Camp including first aid issues
- Proactively identify and solve problems and areas of concerns
- Oversee end of day clean-up and after care program
- During the month of June help with weekly children’s programming leading up to camp start
YOUTH CAMP COORDINATOR
Contract Dates: June 1 – August 8, 2025
Hourly Rates: $19.50
*Start date and June hours are flexible for the right applicant. Must be available to work full time hours from June 30 – August 8.
In collaboration with the Youth Pastor and Camp Director, the Youth Camp Coordinator will help plan and execute youth camp programs, with a primary focus on our Engineering and Leaders in Training camp. As well as, assist in the training and mentorship of the camp staff team. They will primarily work with grades 4 to 10 and help oversee the day-day operations of Youth camps.
- Oversee all youth camps and assist in the planning and execution of them
- Support staff and volunteers with program execution and camp supervision
- Support Engineering camps planning and program execution
- Plan and execute Leaders in Training Camp using. The purpose of this camp is to train young people and equip them with foundational skills to become future leaders using Gallop Strengths curriculum
- Facilitate camp activities and prep weekly supplies as needed
- Plan and book special events for youth camps
- Act as a direct liaison with parents, campers, and camp counsellors to ensure program success.
