We’re excited to continue our new mid-week program for your grade 5 or 6 child! LEAP will focus on building social and emotional skills while making friends and having an awesome time!
We believe that these early pre-teen years are a critical time to develop life skills that will set your tween up for a successful future. We’re pointing kids to Jesus’ character every step of the way!

LEAP is specifically developed for your grade 5 and 6 child. On Sundays, children in grade 5 will continue to join our StarKids program and children in grade 6 will graduate to our Pursuit class (grade 6-8). However, this program is replacing grade 6 Pursuit programming previously available on Friday nights.

Can my grade 6 still come to youth on Friday nights?
Not this year (2023-2024). We have seen a need for social skill building lately and want to give these kids the best LEAP into their teen years with this special programming just for them.
Will my grade 5 do LEAP twice?
We’re trying this program out and are really excited about it! We can see it being a great bridge for years to come and will continue to seek out and develop relevant curriculum for this age group. We will keep you informed about plans for the future.
Can my other kids come?
This program is only for kids in grade 5 (born 2013) or grade 6 (born 2012).
Is there a cost for this program?
No! Just like our Friday night Pursuit program, this is a ministry under the umbrella of Cornerstone’s Youth Ministry. You will still need a registration form as your child’s profile moves over from StarKids to LEAP.
