Hello, my name is Joanna and I am currently in grade 8. I accepted Jesus in grade 1, when I briefly knew about what Jesus did for me. As I continued to grow I learned more and more about Jesus. Questions and doubts started forming in my head, and that’s when I began to seek God more seriously. Over the march break I went to a Teens Conference, where I learned more about Jesus. The speaker there briefly spoke about baptism and said that it was a public declaration to tell everyone that you are willing to follow Jesus for the rest of your life. In the Bible, Jesus was baptized as well. He set an example for me to follow and I want to follow Jesus for the rest of my life. Jesus did so much for me, He died on the cross to save me from sin. He could’ve chosen to run away, He is God after all, but His love for us was so great that He suffered to save me from sinful deeds I do. I am willing to follow Him for the rest of my life.

I want to thank all the people who have journeyed with me to this point in my life, encouraging me to be baptized and helping me through all the difficult times in life. Including my family, youth leaders, friends and teachers.

Acts 22: 16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins,
calling on his name.
