Partnering with Compassion Canada to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name

Compassion works globally to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. By partnering with and equipping local churches, Compassion builds up children, families, and in turn, whole communities through child sponsorship, community development, family support, and other intentional programming.

Cornerstone has had strong ties to Nicaragua for over 20 years and is so excited to further connect locally through a focused partnership with Compassion Canada in Nicaragua. Through individual sponsorships, the Cornerstone community provides support for over 90 children and families in Cuidad Sandino as well as support mom and baby programs. Each year we are able to extend love encouragement, and care by visiting with the Compassion Nicaragua team and children from our sponsorship cluster.

How you can help

Sponsor: If you would like to support a child in Nicaragua through sponsorship, please email Aimee Esparaz, our Compassion Canada representative, or call their Contact Centre at 1-800-563-5437 to request a child from the “Cornerstone Church (Markham) Nicaragua Cluster. There are also opportunities to sponsor children from other countries through Compassion Canada.
