The longest scientific study of happiness ever conducted by Harvard Study of Adult Development shows that good relationships make a life fulfilling and meaningful and that the strength of our connections with others can predict the health of both our bodies and our brains as we go through life.

The social spaces provide natural, human touch points for people to experience authentic relationships through small talks, socializing, and neighbourly interactions.

People reveal enough about themselves to find affinity for one another and feel being part of a larger group like an extended family, a network of friends from whom they gain a sense of shared identity.

In terms of a faith community or a church, social spaces can enable folks to cultivate authentic community, join in a common mission, and share their personal gifts and strengths as everyone lives out their faith.
