YouthQuest is Cornerstone’s Youth Ministry for Junior and Senior Highs (grades 6-12). YouthQuest exists to EQUIP the youth of Cornerstone and the Markham community to GROW closer in their relationship with God, to MAXIMIZE their talent and potential, to SHARE their Christ-inspired lives through winsome activities and God-honouring SERVICE in Markham and beyond. Junior High — 2nd/4th Fridays – 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Senior High — 1st/3rd Fridays – 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Where we meet:
Most of our Youthquest events happen at our church office, which we call “The Main Connection” located at 227 Main St., North (Markham), suite 203 (click here for a map).
What we do:
Our activities range from bowling, laser tag, mini golf, movie nights, snack and chats (Bible studies), dodgeball tournaments, worship nights, World Vision’s 30 hour Famine, scavenger hunts, career fairs, volunteer training, community service and much, much more!
Junior High Sunday School Curriculum - The Story
The story is designed to give our students the opportunity to:
- See the big picture of God's great Story
- Listen for God's direction through Scripture and insights from their leaders and peers
- Learn deep truths about teh character and nature of God
- Express their learnings and thoughts through discussion and creatie mediums
- Discover new insights and directions for their lives in light of God's story
- See how their story is a part of God's bigger story
Kingdom Experiment - (Friday Nights)
The point of the Kingdom Experiment is on-purpose living. To work things out in community. To share life and stories while we're at it. To think about what good news could mean in our time. Based on the eight Beatitudes, we are beign challenged to live out what we're studying through various weekly challenges. .
