When & where

Our weekly Sunday celebration service is an upbeat time of honest and life-changing worship. Average Sunday attendance is currently about 300 adults and kids. It all starts at 11:00 am at Markville Secondary School (Click here for a map).

What it's like

Most people dress casually for our Sunday worship services, but come as you are – you'll be welcome here! There’s plenty of parking, and a friendly greeter will be at the door to help you get where you need to go.

Each Sunday worship service at Cornerstone features energetic worship in song led by one of our praise bands, a time of engaging biblical teaching from one of our pastors, and any number of creative worship elements (we're made in the image of the Creator, so we're not afraid to be innovative with our worship celebrations). While the flavour of our Sunday services is decidedly contemporary, we also value the rich heritage of Christian tradition, and frequently blend hymns, ancient creeds, the Lord's Prayer, and responsive scripture readings into our worship celebrations.

It’s our prayer that when you come to worship with us, you will experience the life-transforming reality of Christ's presence. All aspects of our worship services are prayerfully shaped to provide you with a space to connect with God and others in authentic and affirming ways. 

After the worship service, we hope you’ll join us in the lobby for refreshments. You’ll discover a friendly, welcoming and lively crowd. We'll also have a special gift and info package available for you at the Welcome Centre.

 

 

Each Sunday we offer our StarKids children's ministry for kids from ages 0 – 9. You can sign your kids into our StarKids program anytime after 10:45 a.m. All of our staff and volunteers working with minors go through a screening process, and are supervised to insure a safe and quality environment for your children. 

 

For infants (newborn - walking), our Nursery provides a safe and stimulating environment.  Our adult caregivers demonstrate the love and warmth of Jesus in tending to the needs of your little ones.

For toddlers (walking - 2 years), we have circle time with Bible stories and songs, as well as free play time where our caregivers encourage learning through playing with shapes, books, and toys.

For pre-schoolers (ages 2 – 4), we offer an engaging time of Bible lessons, crafts, songs, interactive play and of course, snacks! Our adult leaders will help your kids experience church as a happy place where they are valued and cared for.

 

Your school-aged kids (ages 4 – 10) will sing energetic songs, and enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons that will help them learn to apply God’s truth to their everyday lives. Each class includes time spent with committed teachers in both large and small group settings. Your kids will sense the love of God coming from dedicated adult volunteers who are committed to serving Jesus by leading kids.

 

 

A cool place for Jr. High students (ages 10-13) to connect with God and each other! Designed to shatter the stereotype that church is boring. Each week, our Jr. High students sit together for a portion of the adult worship service, and then meet for a separate class where the personalized biblical teaching connects as they discuss real-life issues!
